What we’re about

A vibrant and inclusive poetry meetup that celebrates the power of words. Lets bring together poets, writers, storytellers, artists, and anyone with a passion for creativity to share and explore their artistic talents. Through poetic readings, open mic, and storytelling, we can create a nurturing environment for self-expression and empower individuals to connect deeply with their emotions and experiences. I hope this group will invite the unspoken words we often want to share, to allow us to heal, and to be heard . The events are open to all levels of poet enthusiast, storyteller, and creative writers.

This group is not a workshop to improve writing and poetry. Although you're welcome to socialize and ask for others to critique your work. It's a space to provide anyone who always wanted to share what they wrote but don't have the courage to speak up.

This November, let’s honor gratitude no matter where life has placed us. Join us for our own twist on Thanksgiving — Wordsgiving, a gathering of hearts, words, and stories.

Bring your voice, your art, your songs and share a piece of what you’re grateful for. Maybe it’s a blessing that’s shaped you, or an adversity that’s helped you grow into who you are right now.

Gratitude can take on many forms, from grand milestones to the small, quiet joys (yes, even the hole in your favorite sock).

Let Wordsgiving be a moment to release what weighs you down and reclaim your creative fire. This is your space to breathe, to connect, and allow your spirit to fly~

And if you’re finding it hard to feel thankful come anyway. Let the words of others remind you that your presence, your story, your being are already enough.

For the first time we will be meeting at the large community room 1B at Holgate Library!
