You may have known us as Unstoppable Rucks β we've renamed the group. Same mission, new identity. Welcome to Miles & Meaning.
***
This isn't your average Sunday morning.
I recently took over this group because the mission spoke to me β and I think it'll speak to a lot of you too. This is for men who are tired of going through the motions. Men who want to move with purpose, think more clearly, and build real connection with other guys who refuse to settle.
Here's how it works: we load up a backpack, we walk, and we talk β really talk. Each ruck includes three guided questions designed to spark the kind of conversation most of us never get to have. There are also quiet stretches for reflection and mental clarity. No fluff, no small talk, no ego. Just men pushing themselves to grow β physically and mentally β one step at a time.
We're starting at 3 miles to get a feel for the group β pace, fitness level, and energy. The goal is to work our way up to 5 miles as we grow together. Think of it as a progression, not a ceiling.
What to expect:
- 3-mile ruck β a brisk walk with a weighted backpack through Oleta's trails, beach path, and mangrove-lined paved sections
- 3 thought-provoking questions to anchor real conversation
- Silent segments for reflection
- Good men. Honest talk. Real growth.
What to bring:
- Backpack with 10β30 lbs of weight (dumbbells, books, bricks β whatever you've got) β optional but encouraged
- Water bottle
- Comfortable shoes that can get dirty
- Insect repellent
- An open mind
A few logistics:
The park opens at 8:00 AM and frequently reaches capacity on weekends β there's usually a line of cars waiting before the gates open, so plan accordingly and arrive a few minutes early.
Park entry fees:
- $6/vehicle (up to 8 passengers)
- $4 for single-occupant vehicles
- $2 for pedestrians/cyclists
Once you're in, follow the road until you see the kayaks on your right and the Oleta River Grill on your left. The parking lot is just past the restaurant β that's where we meet. Come ready to stretch and connect before we head out promptly at 8:15.
I look forward to meeting everyone.
