The Chess Valley Walk is the perfect antidote to city life — a linear trail packed with scenic beauty, wildlife, and historic charm. From tranquil riverside paths to picturesque farmlands, the route showcases some of the best the Chilterns have to offer. Whether you're after fresh air, photo-worthy landscapes, or a relaxed outdoor adventure, this one’s for you.
Meeting location & time:
- Option A: Meet at Baker Street Station at 9:15 am to get the Metropolitan line Rickmansworth
- Option B: Meet directly at Rickmansworth Station at 10:15 am
Finishing Location: Chesham Station (Metropolitan Line, direct return to London)
Distance: 18 km
Duration: Approx. 6 hours including breaks
Difficulty: Moderate – mostly flat but can be muddy and uneven in parts
