Backpacking in Big Basin via Twin Redwoods Camp

HIKE OVERVIEW AND OPTIONS

Short 2 days, 1 night backpacking trip in Big Basin. The hike into Twin Redwoods Camp is under 2 miles from Waddell Beach. Waddell Beach is a 1.5 hour drive from SF.

OPTION A

We start early on Saturday morning, drop our bags at camp. Hike an additional 5 miles to Berry Creek Falls, then backtrack the 5 miles back to camp.

OPTION B

Start later in the day on Saturday, hike the 1.5-2 miles to Twin Redwoods Camp and setup for the evening. Wake up early Sunday to hike 11.5 miles to Berry Creek Falls and back to the car in Waddell Beach.
