What we’re about
Welcome to the Upper Valley 20s & 30s Hiking and Adventure Group! This group is for people in their 20s and 30s living in the Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont who enjoy the outdoors and want to explore the area's many hidden gems. Event locations will include the Upper Valley region and the NH White Mountain region. This group is perfect for beginner and experienced adventurers alike who want to connect through hiking, walking, sightseeing, and other nature-based activities. Hikes will range from easy to moderate in difficulty with a “no person left behind” mindset—everyone is welcome, no matter your pace or experience level!
This group is intended to be a space for social connection, not for dating. That said, it's natural that some friendships may evolve into something more over time. Asking another person out is permitted, but please:
- If the answer is no, don’t ask again.
- Respect physical and emotional boundaries: don't touch anyone unless they've clearly said it's okay. This includes being mindful of non-verbal “no” cues like someone stepping back or raising their hand or hands upon approach.
- No harassment, disrespect, or other inappropriate behavior: I am committed to keeping this a safe, welcoming, and inclusive Meetup group. Please treat others with courtesy and respect. If you experience any issues, please reach out to me directly. All concerns will be handled privately and thoroughly.
Group Guidelines
I am asking all members to follow a few simple rules to keep things running smoothly:
- RSVP honestly: please keep your RSVPs up to date. 3 no-shows without notice will result in removal from the group. Last-minute cancellations are acceptable, but please update your RSVP. If you do not, it will be considered a no-show.
- Photo requirements: for safety reasons, all members must have a clear profile photo of themselves. This is to help everyone feel comfortable and secure at Meetup events.
Lastly, please enjoy yourself! I look forward to exploring with you!

Note: Please see below for link and details. Tickets will need to be purchased for this event.
Hello, everyone! I am planning a leisurely hiking and cave exploring event at the Lost River Gorge & Boulder Caves in Woodstock, NH. The hike is an easy 1-mile hike along a wooden boardwalk trail. Along the trail, there are a total of 11 boulder caves, beautiful waterfalls, stunning stone and rock formations, treehouses, and a giant “Bird Nest.” The featured photo is one that I took on a previous visit. There are also some very scenic views that overlook the White Mountain National Forest. After exploring the gorge trail, we can explore an easy, 30-minute trail loop that extends beyond the Gorge parking lot, and then take a drive somewhere near Woodstock or Lincoln for lunch.
Please see the link to the Lost River Gorge website at https://lostrivergorge.com/.
Please bring the following gear listed below for this event:
Water (2 bottles)
Hiking Shoes
Snacks (as needed)
Insect Repellent
**A headlamp is also highly recommended for exploring caves**Tickets need to be purchased for this event: please purchase self-guided tour tickets at $24.00 each. Although tickets can be purchased upon arrival at the Gorge, I recommend purchasing tickets ahead of time as ticket availability is limited and tickets may sell out. I will plan on purchasing my tickets ~2 weeks before August 9'th; I'll then post a comment in the comments section to confirm slot availability and remove the "Tentative Date and Time" heading from this Meetup event title. When selecting your ticket, please select the 10:00am Self-Guided Tour (General Admission Ticket) for the August 09, 2025 date. In the event of adverse weather, tickets can be used on a different date; however, I will not be responsible for cancellation refunds if issues arise for any reason.
Parking for this event is located off of NH-112 West: the address is 1712 Lost River Rd, North Woodstock, NH 03262. Although the parking lot is spacious, I can't guarantee that there will be enough parking spaces and for those bring guests, please carpool.
In consideration of the blocked scheduling of time slots at this location, we need to begin the hike promptly at 10:00am; therefore, I recommend getting here 10-15 minutes before 10:00am for parking. When I arrive, I will post a comment in the comments section to confirm my location.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to send me a message or post a comment below and I will reply. I will be keeping a close eye on the weather throughout the week. This event will be subject to change depending on weather conditions.
