28 Days of Terror in a House Possessed by Evil Spirits
In December 1975, the Lutz family moved into their dream home, the same home where Ronald DeFeo had murdered his parents, brothers and sisters just one year earlier.
The psychic phenomena that followed created the most terrifying experience the Lutz family had ever encountered, forcing them to flee the house in 28 days, convinced that it was possessed by evil spirits.
Their fantastic story, never before disclosed in full detail, makes for an unforgettable book with all the shocks and gripping suspense of The Exorcist, The Omen or Rosemary's Baby, but with one vital difference... the story is true (goodreads.com).

_______________
On November 13, 1974, Ronald DeFeo Jr. shot and killed 6 members of his family in their home at 112 Ocean Avenue on Long Island, NY. DeFeo was convicted of 6 counts of second-degree murder in 1975 and died in prison in 2021. In December of 1975, barely more than one year after the murders, George and Kathy Lutz moved into the house with their children and dog. After just 28 days, the family fled the house after claiming to be terrorized and haunted by paranormal entities. However, the truth of the claims about the Lutz family and the events at 112 Ocean Avenue has been heavily debated. The book contains contradictions and skeptics questions the story's truth. For example, the book claims the discovery of cloven hoof prints in the snow on January 1, 1976, however it has been proven that there was no snowfall on that day (nyghosts.com). The Lutzs maintain that the paranormal events in the book are "mostly true" however now it is widely believed to be in the horror fiction category. The next owners of the house have reported no paranormal or unexplainable activity.
