💛 Brighten Uppsala with Love – Free Hugs Walk

Details
Let’s bring something vackert to the streets of Uppsala this summer: real human connection. Not for show, not for charity—just because we can. Because it matters.
On Thursday, July 10st at 4:00 PM, we meet under the bridge at Uppsala Central Station and start a soft, joyful walk through the city. We’ll hold signs, offer free hugs (always with consent), greet strangers with kindness—and remind people that they’re not alone.
Bring a simple cardboard sign if you want to. Come with a smile, or let someone give you theirs. Stay for ten minutes or two hours. There are no rules—only a wish to meet, to be seen, and to see others.
This walk is part of 7 000 Kramar – Dare to Connect, a movement born out of one truth: people need people. In Uppsala alone, thousands live in involuntary loneliness. Every hug we offer represents one of them. Every conversation, glance or wave is a gentle rebellion against a culture of distance.
You don’t have to be outgoing. You don’t have to hug. Just showing up sends a message. When we dare to connect, we change more than just someone’s day—we shift the whole atmosphere.
