Hike + Hangout - Rainbow Falls (Gorges) & food/drinks/music at Jocassee Brewing

Another month, another hike and hangout! The plan will be to meet at the trail head at 10am. We'll start the hike at 10:15 so please make sure you are on time. Use the Google Maps directions within the All Trails link/app for the best results. The lot is somewhat small so carpooling is highly recommended. I can help coordinate as we get closer to the date. I'm hoping the leaves are at or near peak while we hike so it should be pretty beautiful. The hike is rated moderate by AllTrails (link below) with it being about 4 miles and 700ish feet of elevation gain. Most of which is on the return leg of this out and back trail. I plan to hang out on the rocks near the banks of Turtleback falls before we head back to the lot.

After the hike we'll head to Jocassee Valley Brewing right off highway 11 and 130. I've driven by this many times but just haven't stopped but this will be the day. Their website says food trucks on Fridays and Saturdays and the potential for some live music. The schedule is blank for October as of the time of me writing this but I'll keep an eye out.

The plan is to hike this rain or shine. Only storms will cause it to be postponed.
