First Fall Group Hike!

Let's Hike!

It's been a long hot summer, but it's finally time for us to get back out and go hiking! We're going to take the Looking Glass trail in Pisgah National Forest. This trail is about 6 miles total round trip, with about 1300 feet of elevation in total. It's considered moderate, reviews say it's hard, some say there are buggy areas (don't forget your bug spray). It says it typically takes 3.5 to 4 hours to complete. We could carpool, depending on number of people interested. It might be a little early for fall color, but that might mean the crowds aren't too heavy either. The drive from where we are is about 1:30, so hoping to get an early start by leaving the Greenville/Greer area by 8am, arrive at the trail head about 9:30a.

Bring your own snacks/drinks.

Stop for lunch on the way out/home - Location TBD.
