What changes when AI stops answering and starts doing?

Most of us have gotten good at prompting. We know how to ask for the right thing, give context, and iterate until the output is usable. That's a real skill, and it took real practice.

But there's a ceiling to it. Prompting gets you a good answer. It doesn't get you finished work.

The difference is the same as the difference between asking a sharp intern a question and actually handing them a project. The question gets you information. The delegation gets you a deliverable, but only if you've told them what "done" looks like, given them access to the right systems, and set up a checkpoint where you review their work before it goes anywhere.

That's what agentic workflows are. Not magic. Delegation, with structure.
