πŸͺ˜ Upstate SC Drum Circle πŸͺ˜
Join us for an evening of rhythm, community, and fun!
πŸ“… Sunday, August 9
πŸ•• 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
πŸ“ Unitarian Universalist Church of Spartanburg
210 Henry Place
Spartanburg, SC 29306
Whether you're an experienced drummer or have never played before, everyone is welcome! Our circle is family-friendly, beginner-friendly, and completely free to attend.
We'll have several African djembes available to borrow, a set of dun duns, and our large gathering drum that can be played by two people at the same time. The two main styles of drums you'll see at our circle are African djembes and Native-style frame drums, but all hand drums and percussion instruments are welcome.
We begin with a few easy rhythms to help everyone feel comfortable. As the evening progresses, anyone who would like to lead a rhythm is encouraged to do so, but there is never any pressure or expectation. Whether you choose to lead, play along, or simply listen and enjoy the experience, you're an important part of the circle.
If you've ever been curious about a drum circle, this is the perfect opportunity to join us. If you'd rather watch before jumping in, that's perfectly okay tooβ€”we'll have a chair waiting for you.
Bring a friend, bring your drum (if you have one), and come experience the power of rhythm with us. We look forward to sharing another wonderful evening of drumming, friendship, and community with you!
See you on August 9th! πŸͺ˜β€οΈ

Please Note: attendees under the age of 18 must have a guardian with them.
Let’s get this circle going and make music together!
