Rich Mountain Fire Tower Hike/Exploring Hot Springs

And here I thought the group was dead. Thats what Meetup.com told me once I cancelled but here we are! If bad weather is in the forecast this will be postponed to a later date.

I had this hike scheduled right around Helene and we all know what happened to the small mountain towns of western NC. This hike is 5 miles and somewhat challenging so if you're not sure, check the reviews on the all trails link below. I plan to head out from the trail head at 11:15. After the hike we'll head down the road into Hot Springs to Big Pillow Brewery to hang out, relax and enjoy a drink. Not sure what other stores are open at this point but might be worth walking around.
