Details
Join us for a peaceful walk around the Hillsboro library ponds where ducks and geese play, and follow as we continue (driving) to the myriad of more trails, ponds and wildlife at Jackson Bottoms Wetlands Preserve 5 miles away. Hillsboro Library trails are flat, paved with minimal elevation gain. Jackson Bottoms trails are a mixture of dirt and gravel with occasional mud, rocks and roots. The Education Center at the Preserve is having an exhibit on invasive species, featuring the Ash Borer Beetle. Restrooms and parking are available at both locations. Sorry, dogs and other pets are not allowed at the Preserve per City of Hillsboro. More details to follow, please stay tuned!
