Join me for a fact-filled, fun-filled tour of historic downtown Gresham led by staff from the Historical Society, followed by a picnic lunch at Main City Park and maybe a walk through the Japanese Gardens or eastward on the Springwater Corridor Trail. Downtown Gresham has amazing history which few people know about. The tour will include both residential and commercial buildings, such as Zion Church and the M&M lounge and more. Main City Park is the 21-acre sprawling park in downtown Gresham featuring trails, picnic shelters, a Japanese garden, a dog run and more. There are lots of lovely places to sit and enjoy lunch after the tour. Feel free to bring your blanket and your lunch and join us for this fun excursion. The park is adjacent to the Springwater Corridor Trail we may amble down if we choose. There are lots of shady spots and places to sit near the creek, plus a black berry bush or two.
Downtown Gresham has lots of free available parking, public restrooms at both the park and historical Society, and lots of sandwich places as well. Hope to see you there!
