Located in Marin County, the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, in the Marin Headlands, a wonderful looping hike with a lagoon, beach, and amazing views of the city, and the pacific coast. Rodeo Beach is a beautiful pebbly beach popular with surfers. Down the hill from Battery Townsley and nestled between Fort Cronkhite, and the Lagoon. Dogs are welcome and may be off-leash in some areas including Rodeo Beach.(Optional - if you haven't seen Point Bonita Lighthouse or the Marine Mammal center, either or both are well worth a stop either before or after the hike)

Elevation: Approx. 903 top of peak, Total Elevation Change: 1268 feet.
Information: Free Parking lot and along the beach, Dogs on leash or under voice control allowed, Restroom and water at trailhead.

Meeting Point: Drive to the end of beach and Bunker Road, meet near Restrooms. 1049 Bunker Road, Sausalito, CA 94965

Directions:
From US 101 north over Golden Gate Bridge, take Alexander Avenue exit towards Sausalito, left on Bunker Road through the one-way Directional light tunnel, continue straight on Bunker Road following the signs to Rodeo beach, go to the end of the beach and parking lot at the end of the road on the right.

Hiking Directions: Start end of Rodeo Beach, uphill on the Coastal Trail, continuing along the coast for hikers, uphill and then Right back on the Coastal trail, Left Uphill at the Junction past Battery, then Left on Coastal Trail and a quick Right uphill on Wolf Ridge Trail, continue over the cement path straight up Hill 88, Break second peak, then downhil, Left continue on path, short distance, Left onto connector trail to Miwok Trail, Right at Miwork Trail, cross over street, Left on Lagoon Loop Trail, after crossing bridge, continue Loop trail around to the Right, across Rodeo Beach and back to the Parking Lot and Starting point.
