About us

What if your next idea for the climate was born around a table, among people who share your aspirations?

Urban Climate Circles are small, convivial evening workshops where art, science, imagination, and action meet. Each Circle brings together about 10 people — enough for real conversation, small enough for everyone to count.

Here’s what a Circle looks like: you’ll explore a small exhibition of artworks and accessible climate science pieces that spark reflection, curiosity, and conversation. Through creative steps, you’ll develop an idea for climate action — first individually, then collaboratively — imagining how it could evolve and create change at different scales. Midway through the evening, we pause for an apéro: food, drinks, new friends, and the creative process continuing around the table.

These workshops are designed to help you build your sustainability ideas, and to remind us of something we often forget: that creativity, curiosity, and collaboration are powerful tools for climate action. Come curious. Leave with new perspectives, new connections — and perhaps the beginning of a new project.

Circles take place regularly, alternating between Zurich (in English) and Geneva (in French / en français). They are free and open to everyone — no prior experience or scientific background required, just curiosity.

Urban Climate Circles are organised by Climanosco, a Swiss non-profit making climate science accessible to everyone (climanosco.org).

Join the group to be the first to hear about upcoming Circles — and bring a curious friend.
