What we’re about
🌟 Urban Friends brings people together in real-life in carefully matched groups of four — the best size for meaningful conversations and real connection in friendship groups.
💡 In a big city like Hamburg it’s easy to meet people, but hard to find the right ones. Distance, timing, values, communication styles or interests often don’t align — and many end up feeling emotionally lonely.
🎯 We match groups of four based on age (usually ±3 years), languages, conversation style, interests and personal preferences (e.g. women-only groups). Optional: Each group member sends short voice messages beforehand to make the first meetup easier.
👉 How it works:
• Sign up on our website (we can't Match on Meetup)
• We match once 50 people have joined the cohort
• You’re placed into one or two groups of 4 people based on your criteria
• Your group picks a date that suits everyone to meet in real life
• If it clicks, you keep meeting in that group — if not, we match you again
👥 Two test rounds in Hamburg (June/July & Sept/Oct) brought together 110 people. With 91% of participants wanted to meet again.
