Urban Sketch x Saudi Art Archive
Our Goal:
We aim to document Saudi Arabia’s evolving landscape in real-time. By combining the practice of urban sketching with the mission of the Saudi Art Archive, we create a visual bridge between the Kingdom’s historic past and its rapid modern transformation.
Who We’re Looking For:
• Artists & Sketchers: From professionals to absolute beginners.
• History & Architecture Fans: Anyone interested in Saudi heritage and urban design.
• Storytellers: People who want to preserve the "spirit of place" beyond just taking a photo.
What We Do:
• Sketch Meets: Gathering at historic sites or modern landmarks to draw on-site.
• The "Throw-down": Sharing our sketchbooks at the end of each session to celebrate different styles.
• Digital Archiving: Contributing our drawings to a collective record that captures the Kingdom’s identity for future generations.

هدفنا؟
توثيق التحول العمراني الذي تشهده المملكة في الوقت الراهن. نهدف إلى الربط بين ممارسة الرسم العمراني (Urban Sketching) ومهمة أرشيف الفن السعودي لخلق جسر بصري يربط بين تراثنا الماضي ومستقبلنا المتسارع.
من نأمل لقاءهم؟
• الفنانون والرسامون: من المحترفين إلى المبتدئين الشغوفين.
• مهتمو التاريخ والعمارة: كل من يقدّر التراث السعودي والتصميم الحضري.
• رواة القصص البصرية: الذين يسعون لتوثيق "روح المكان" بلمسة فنية تتجاوز مجرد الصورة الفوتوغرافية.
ماذا نفعل في فعالياتنا؟
• لقاءات الرسم: نجتمع في المواقع التاريخية أو المعالم الحديثة للرسم المباشر من الموقع.
• عرض اللوحات: نشارك دفاتر الرسم في نهاية كل جولة لتبادل الخبرات والأساليب الفنية.
• التوثيق الرقمي: نساهم برسوماتنا في سجل جماعي يحفظ الهوية العمرانية للمملكة للأجيال القادمة.
