This group is for bay area individuals who are interested in joining Urban Sketchers. We are in the process of creating an official Urban Sketchers group for the South Bay.

Urban Sketchers Manifesto
1. We draw on location, indoors or out, capturing what we see from direct observation.
2. Our drawings tell the story of our surroundings, the places we live and where we travel.
3. Our drawings are a record of time and place.
4. We are truthful to the scenes we witness.
5. We use any kind of media and cherish our individual styles.
6. We support each other and draw together.
7. We share our drawings online.
8. We show the world, one drawing at a time.

Hi Everyone,

We are in the process of starting our group to become an official chapter. Here are some Group Guidelines to remember through this process. We also adhere to all rules by the Offical Urban Sketchers.

Urban Sketchers Group Guidelines
• Respect All Artists – Everyone is at a different stage in their artistic journey. Constructive feedback is welcome only when requested. Unsolicited criticism is not allowed.
• Be Kind & Supportive – We foster a positive and encouraging environment. Rude, dismissive, or mean-spirited comments about others' work will not be tolerated.
• Respect the Hosts & Organizers – Hosts volunteer their time to create a great experience. Harassing, arguing with, or disrespecting them is grounds for removal from the group.
• No Disruptive Behavior – If someone repeatedly makes others uncomfortable with negative comments, arguments, or aggressive behavior, they will be given a warning. Continued issues will lead to removal from the group.
• Art is Personal – Each artist has their own style, and that diversity is celebrated here. No one is here to impress anyone—sketching is about expression, not perfection.
• Keep it a Safe Space & Inclusive – Discriminatory, offensive, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Everyone deserves to feel welcome.
• One Warning Policy – If a member violates these rules, they will receive one warning. Further violations will result in being removed from the group.
