About us
Welcome to the Urban Sketchers Weekly Workshop and Social. Whether you are a seasoned artist or have not picked up a pencil since school, this group is a place to practice sketching in a relaxed, supportive environment. We meet every week to capture the city around us, focusing on observation and recording our surroundings rather than creating a masterpiece. Each session begins with a short, informal demonstration or technique tip before we head out to sketch.
After our time sketching, we always make sure to find a nearby spot to regroup, share our progress, and get to know one another. The social aspect is just as important as the art itself, and it is a great way to meet fellow residents who share an interest in creativity. Bring your own sketchbook, a pen or pencil, and a folding stool if you have one. We look forward to sketching with you soon.
