How to stay positive in challenging times:The Medicine of Creative Consciousness
Details
“While resting in the spirit, the mind, pure and stable, shines as a lamp shines with a bright flame from within the lantern.” Charaka Samhita
It is said that “Good medicine tastes bitter”. But can good medicine also be sweet - a holistic experience that nurtures and integrates multi-dimensional human experience in body, mind and soul in more harmonious ways?
In today’s often chaotic world many people feel challenged by a sense of loss of control, caused by multiple crisis in personal and collective human experience. This can lead to loss of meaning and purpose which is also reflected in the current mental health and more general healthcare crisis.
Is there a recipe for what troubles us? In this workshop we find out - through a journey into the timeless, and often poetic, healing wisdom of traditional Indian Ayurveda & Yoga medicine, philosophy and science. For thousands of years Ayurveda – “the knowledge of Life” – serves as a map into the vast healing potential of consciousness that is innate in all of us.
The approach is one of “saluto-genesis”, inner processes that flow forth from deep connection to our core, our soul, ATMAN. The treatment plans may include both physical and mental cleansing and detoxification, whilst also deeply nurturing processes that bring replenishment and rejuvenation for body, mind and soul.
We will embark onto this journey in theory and practice, through movement, breathing, healing mantras, reflection and yogic sleep. Connecting to our deep core we will open us for contentment, heartfelt joy and inspiration, love, resilience, courage, empowerment and hope; qualities that are often missing in our frantic 21st century lives.
Come, explore and find out for yourself. No prior experience of Yoga or singing is needed to take part. All are welcome.
Arrive at 1.45pm for a 2pm start.
