Hike the Mequon Nature Preserve

Happy New Year! Our first hike of 2026 will be at Mequon Nature Preserve. The terrain is mostly level, with some gentle slopes but nothing strenuous. The trails may be icy or muddy, depending on conditions. Wear appropriate footwear. We will hike if it is snowing, but not if it is raining. (Winter rain is the pits and takes a toll on the trails.)
There is an attendee limit, so if you plan to bring a guest please let me know so that I can adjust the limit accordingly. Leashed dogs are welcome.
Special announcement: Just so you know, someone from Wisconsin Conservation Voters has asked to attend this hike and interview hikers about their love of nature, etc. You do not have to agree to be interviewed in order to attend.
