What we’re about
## Who Are We
We are an active social club where members have a variety of activities, events, and trips to choose from.
The Urban Diversion team consists of staff and hosts dedicated to creating a community where people can come together in a fun, adventurous, and respectful environment of like-minded people. The UD team doesn't just organize and plan events - we participate and have fun right alongside you, so it always feels like a group of friends and friends of friends!
We welcome members of all ages and have members aged 20-50+ though the majority of our members are young professionals.
## Our Mission
"To inspire lifelong connections and community through unforgettable experiences and adventures."
## Why a Membership?
We operate on a membership model to cultivate a close-knit community of friends, ensuring you'll consistently see familiar faces at every event. Prior to forming UD, we attended several meetups but found many to be fairly transient. This led us to meet many people but not form deep friendships. Urban Diversion was formed with the intent to building lasting relationships. Many of our members have been attending events for years.
Membership involves a monthly fee that sustains our vibrant community and facilitates the formation of genuine, enduring friendships.
To become part of our community on MeetUp, please start by becoming a member at http://www.urbandiversion.com.
## Our Events
From waterfall hikes to sushi & sake classes; bungee jumping or a wild NYE party; backpacking Tahoe to wine tasting or even International travel... Urban Diversion has something for everyone.

Embark on an unforgettable summer adventure in the land of giants!
Welcome to Humboldt Redwoods State Park, home to over 53,000 acres of towering old-growth redwoods, that’s a park twice the size of San Francisco!
These aren’t your average trees… they are BIG - some of the tallest living things on Earth - reaching over 370 feet into the sky. If you’ve only seen redwoods in the Bay, you’re in for a jaw-dropping upgrade.
This hidden gem offers some of NorCal’s best camping, hiking, and river swimming, with lush fern-covered trails and forest magic around every bend. Swim in gorgeous rivers surrounded by cathedral-like canopies, explore iconic spots like the Avenue of the Giants, and discover secret local trails you won’t find on the map! What to Expect:
A chance to fully experience the true Northern California in all its beauty and serenity! Some of the redwoods are estimated to be 1,500 years old. That's pretty darn old - considering how well many people can keep house plants alive.
If the amazing hikes aren't enough - we will have the chance to relax on the banks of the South Fork of the Eel River. The perfect spot for swimming and soaking up the sun. Bring an inner tube for lounging!
If you've never been to this area, the size and density of the giant trees is nothing short of spectacular. This area boasts the highest concentration of over 350ft trees in the world! At 350 feet, it's as high as a 35-story building, 45 feet taller than the Statue of Liberty from pedestal to torch, and more than twice as high as Niagara Falls.
Not to mention, we are staying in a beautiful campground that is right in the middle of the park.Trip Overview

Did you know Germany has a Beer Purity Law that is older than most countries. In 1516, Germany enacted the Reinheitsgebot, aka the Beer Purity Law. It allowed beer to be made with only water, barley, and hops (yeast came later, once they figured out what it was). Germans don't mess around when it comes to keeping their brews “beer-y” pure.

Imagine the wind tugging at your suit as you stand on the edge of the cliff, the parachute stretched behind you like wings. Your heart races synced with the gusts rushing past your ears. Below, the world opens up a sprawling canvas of sea, sky, and earth. Then, with one bold step, you’re airborne... soaring, weightless, completely alive. The ultimate rush has begun...What to expect:
We will all be doing a Tandem Jump: this is where you will have a certified instructor attached to your back who will handle all the work and control of the chute. Fly high along cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean and possibly see some sharks and dolphins while you soar.
The typical flight last around 20 to 30 minutes but that’s not a hard time limit the most important thing for us is that you have a great time so you will usually fly until you are ready to land!Includes
- Pre- safety briefing prior to the jump provided by an authorized independent, specially trained instructor.
- The required tandem harness
- Your very brave host and lots of moral support from other flyers... Why do this alone?
- Lunch reservations
Additional Costs
- Registration fee goes to help cover your host and lunch reservations
- Your payment here does not go to cover your jump. Once you have registered for this event the host will be in touch with you to walk you through the payment process.
- Your jump costs $199 with a $49 deposit that you pay in advance.
Attire: Wear comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes such as tennis shoes or hiking shoes, it’s also a good idea to bring a light jacket or windbreaker
Don’t wait—secure your spot now and get ready to soar! Please note: this is a members‑only social club, and event locations are shared exclusively with active members.
