Watch the Christmas Ship Grand Finale and hike up to Cairde in LQA

Trying something new! Saturday night is the grand finale of the Christmas Ship, which usually entails it and lots of boats cruising through Lake Union. We've got access to a marina with a great vantage point for the start of their route, so the plan is to hang out there and watch the boats go by before hiking up to very dog-friendly pub Cairde in LQA.

If everyone's up for it, we can take the steep Galer Street stairs path, or instead go on the flatter route up Westlake and over on Mercer. Either way is 25-30 minutes. Once at Cairde, stay as long as you'd like! Also fine if you're not up for a walk that late in the cold and just want to come check out the boats and bail. Dress warm in any event!

The 40 bus stops directly in front of the marina so that's ideal, but there's plenty of parking there also. Please try to get there at 7:45 so I can make sure we have everyone before accessing the marina. We'll meet up on the wide sidewalk at 1530 Westlake Ave. N. between the parking lot and the marina and head down together.
