What we’re about
This group is for social people in and around the Urmston area. Mainly it’s a chance to MeetUp with people for a drink and a laugh. On occasion we will do something a bit more; maybe a meal, maybe a comedy night; suggestions welcome. We might (will) venture out-of-area!
To cover the running cost of the group, and only to cover the cost of the group, we’ll ask for a £1 contribution. This is not to cover other costs; such as your drinks bill.
Some likely answers to FAQs:
1. Singles: This is NOT a dating group. We’re at the event to laugh and chat without an agenda.
2. Age Range: Too old for loud music that means you can’t have a conversation; WAY too young to stay in (…there may still be loud music).
3. Couples: Welcome, but if you’re only going to talk to each other, save your pounds and be together.
If anyone would like to be an Event Organiser it would mean more events per month can be run. First couple of events will be jointly hosted with me so that there’s no in-at-the-deep-end.
