About us
US Artists is a group of artists working in New York City focusing on collaborative art and communal events and resource sharing.
Members are encouraged to post their own art related events, including exhibitions, critiques, screenings, and workshop / working events, such as collaborative art projects or times to work individually but together. New and experienced artists alike working in all media are welcome to join.
The group was founded in the fall of 2009 by an eclectic group of artists with studios in the Union Square area of Manhattan interested in having open studios and group shows together. In 2011 we formed this Meetup group and expanded out past the Union Square area to all interested artists in the NYC metropolitan area.
