Qual. vs Quant. research misconceptions - a UXA virtual fireside chat

Details
The new UXA Fireside Chat 'radio hour' continues this week with a question straight from our UXAuckland Slack channels: How do you convince your stakeholders of the benefits of qualitative research when it's dismissed as ineffective or not matching the quantitative results?
I, Geoff, will be your host again this evening, joined by my UXA rockstar co-host, Stefanee, as we settle into our chairs, sip the finest winter beverages of choice, and discuss the tough [community] questions around common qualitative vs quantitative research misinterpretations and concerns.
This extended 'radio hour' will be broken up into three parts:
- A host discussion of the background differences between qualitative and quantitative user research
- A host + special guest discussion on specific stakeholder questions and misconceptions seen in the workplace and how you might address them
- Opening it up to you all to share your lessons learned, stories, and pains in defending qual. vs. quant. user research
Please note that by joining this call, you accept that you may be recorded so that we can share this online discussion within our UXA Slack channels for those who were unable to attend - more details will be provided on the day as we work it out.
You should receive a link to join this Google Meet session upon RSVP'ing
Hope to see you there!
