Over 50s: What’s Your Experience With Smartphones & Technology?
Do you ever find smartphones or modern technology more complicated than they need to be?
I’m organising a friendly, informal online discussion for people aged 50 and over to hear about their experiences using smartphones and everyday technology.
I’d love to understand what people find easy, what they struggle with and what could make using technology less frustrating.
What will we discuss?
We’ll have an open conversation about everyday experiences, including:
- Are there things you find difficult when using your smartphone?
- Do you ever struggle with certain apps or features?
- Have you ever had to ask someone for help with something on your phone?
- Are there things you wish were simpler or easier to do?
- What would make your experience with technology better?
Who can join?
Anyone aged 50 and over who uses a smartphone, whether it’s an iPhone or Android.
You don’t need to be particularly confident with technology. In fact, I’d especially welcome people who sometimes find it confusing or frustrating.
What to expect
- A relaxed and friendly online discussion.
- Approximately 45–60 minutes.
- No technical knowledge required.
- No presentations, sales pitches or pressure.
- An opportunity to share your honest thoughts and experiences.
Why am I organising this?
I’m exploring an idea focused on helping older people use smartphones more confidently, independently and without frustration.
Before developing anything, I want to listen to people, understand the challenges they experience and learn what would genuinely make a difference.
There’s no right or wrong answer. Your experiences and opinions are what matter.
I look forward to meeting you!
