UX Metrics for Design Leaders
Details
In this virtual program, we'll tackle the subject of UX metrics in a way that will appeal to everyone, whether you are a UX designer, researcher, other stakeholder, or a UX leader, and regardless of your role or level in your organization.
We'll discuss why UX metrics matter, how to create and choose an appropriate UX metric, and discuss examples of good and bad UX metrics.
We'll focus specifically on outcome-driven UX metrics, which are different from many of the other UX metrics that many people are more familiar with. We'll also include an opportunity to discuss the struggles that designers and other UX professionals currently encounter with metrics in organizations more generally, including the challenge of accessing data within an organization.
We'll talk about the fact that UX metrics are definitely not the same as business metrics, too.
How will the program work? Well, here's the plan: In a group setting, we'll watch a video of a presentation by Jared Spool entitled "Outcome-Driven UX Metrics: A Case Study." At pre-selected time stamps during the video, we'll stop the video, and one of our team leaders, serving as a facilitator, will lead the group in a discussion on a prepared related question. There will be at least 4 such opportunities to engage in such discussions with others in attendance in real time.
No advance preparation is required in order to participate. All are welcome.
