AI in UX: A Tool, Teammate, or Threat? - Table for 12 Dinner Discussion

Artificial intelligence is showing up everywhere, including in UX research and design — from tools that transcribe and summarize interviews to systems that suggest and generate design concepts. But how should we think about AI’s role in our practice? Is it simply a productivity tool, a creative partner, or a potential threat to the craft of user-centered design?
At this dinner, we’ll exchange experiences with AI in our day-to-day work, weigh the risks and opportunities, and reflect on how our roles might shift in the years ahead.

Questions we'll explore together:

  • What AI tools have we tried in your own work? How useful were they?
  • Which current UX methods will remain essential, and which might AI replace?
  • Which parts of the process should always remain human-led?
  • Could AI ever conduct credible user research and UX design on its own?

What to expect:

  • A casual dinner discussion with a small group of local professionals
  • No presentations; just simple conversations over good food
  • Free to attend; each guest pays for their own food and drinks

Space is limited - please RSVP early.

If plans change and you can no longer attend, please update your status, so someone else can take your spot.

We look forward to seeing you there!
