Nawaz Khan (https://twitter.com/iam_nawaz):
Revamping a monolithic front-end app with GraphQL, NextJS, and Cloudflare workers
Revamping a legacy monolithic codebase is scary. Why? It is time-consuming and building an entire app from scratch is usually not a viable option. In this talk, we will discuss how we can break apart the front-end from a monolith using Cloudflare workers, NextJS, and a GraphQL server. The best part is we can do this incrementally and produce a performant app with a purpose-driven architecture.
About Nawaz
Nawaz has a background in building e-commerce web applications. He has re-architected legacy front-end codebases with modern tech stacks at companies like StubHub, JUUL, and Everlane. Outside of work, Nawaz is a Dosa chef and standup comedian.
Shawn Swyx Wang (https://twitter.com/swyx):
Bun and Deno - the new JS Runtimes
People are tearing up the foundations of JavaScript with new assumptions and a need for speed. Let’s look at the new kids on the block - Bun and Deno and explore how they might someday replace Node in your tech stack.
About Shawn
Swyx has worked on React and serverless JavaScript at Two Sigma, Netlify AWS, and Temporal. He has started and run communities for hundreds of thousands of developers, like Svelte Society, /r/reactjs, and the React TypeScript Cheatsheet. His nontechnical writing was recently published in the Coding Career Handbook for Junior to Senior
TOPIC TABLES & OPEN NETWORKING
