Capitol Hill 2026: Learn & Connect
Details
Visit the Utah State Capitol with the Forward Party of Utah
Utah’s legislative process is open to the public, and you’re invited to be part of it. You’re welcome to visit the Utah State Capitol any day to observe legislative sessions, committee meetings, or take a tour of the building.
On Fridays between January 23 and February 27, Forward Party supporters can also help boost visibility at the Capitol. Stop by to pick up a purple Forward Party badge and lanyard, along with a brief pamphlet outlining Utah Forward Party values and priorities.
A Forward volunteer will be available just inside the East public entrance on Fridays at the following times to distribute lanyards and help point you toward the House and Senate public galleries on the fourth floor, or committee meetings:
10:45 a.m.
12:15 p.m.
1:45 p.m.
Even if you can’t make it on a Friday, feel free to visit the Capitol on any day or time that works for you.
Helpful information for your visit:
Public parking is primarily located on the east side of the Capitol, along East Capitol Road. An underground parking entrance in the public lot near the final stretch of that road tends to have spots when everywhere else is full.
Appropriations meetings may begin as early as 8 a.m. Senate and House floor sessions typically run between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. - with a Noon lunch break - on varying days, with committee meetings often held at 2 p.m.

Capitol maps: le.utah.gov/maps/map.asp
Capitol rules and visitor questions: Capitol Preservation Board, Room 120 (north first floor) or 801-538-3074
Whether you’re stopping in for a few minutes or staying for a full session, your presence matters. Come observe, learn, and help show that Utah’s politics don’t have to be left or right — they can be Forward.
