A Case Study in Using Machine Learning to Find Students in Need of Help

How do you find students the help they need when you have limited resources and over 55,000 students? With machine learning. We implemented a model that identifies students who are struggling based on a variety of factors, but building the model wasn't our only challenge. Transparency was important to us, and we didn't want our model to just be a black box. On top of that, this needed to run efficiently on a regular basis.
We'll talk about our full solution from the ML model to implementing this in production, to our APEX application that displays the results to our users.
