Contributing to Official PHP Projects

The speaker will share their experience contributing to
several official PHP projects and talk about how you can contribute too! They will also cover guidelines for contributing and low-hanging fruit for projects such as the documentation, php.net (http://php.net/) and of course PHP itself.

Speaker Bio

Levi is a computational scientist at BYU's Fulton Supercomputing Lab where he helps train researchers to use clusters for computational research. He is an avid open-source software contributor. Some of his more notable contributions are features and improvements for the PHP programming language, the PHP.net website and a fair-share algorithm for the batch-scheduling system Slurm.

How to get there:

The address is 3401 Ashton Blvd, though some mapping tools put that a little far down the street (if so, try 2719 Ashton Blvd instead). It's the first office building south of the intersection, nearest to the Dickeys BBQ on the corner.

Just come in the front door and we'll be on the first floor, to the right.

The front door will be locked, but there's a guard on duty right inside that can let folks in, and we're really close to the front door, so we should be able to help people get in pretty easily.
