The Show:
The Read or Die OVA (2001, Studio Deen) is based off of a manga and was later adapted into an anime series. It follows Yomiko Readman, a lovable, near-sighted bibliomaniac working as a substitute teacher at a Japanese high school. Her real identity, however, is that of a secret agent for the British Library Special Operations Division. Her codename: "The Paper." Along with her partner, the enigmatic "Ms. Deep," Yomiko travels across the world in attempt to solve the mystery behind the reincarnation of historical figures and their attempt to control the world.

The Spotlight:
Mushishi (2005, Artland Studios) follows Ginko, a "mushishi"--someone who studies mushi. Mushi are the most basic forms of life in the world. They exist without any goals or purposes aside from simply "being." Mushi can exist in countless forms and are capable of mimicking things from the natural world such as plants, diseases, and even phenomena like rainbows. In this 2014 OVA, Ginko encounters a mushi that threatens an unlucky mountain village.

Parking:
Parking in the library's underground parking can be validated for up to two hours. Street parking is free after 8pm. TRAX is also free in the downtown area at all times; if needed, you can park in a nearby free parking lot and take TRAX to the Library Station.
