📚 Manga Book Club: Pluto

The Main Reading:
Based on Astro Boy by Osamu Tezuka In a distant future where sentient humanoid robots pass for human, someone or something is out to destroy the seven great robots of the world. Europol's top detective Gesicht is assigned to investigate these mysterious robot serial murders - the only catch is that he himself is one of the seven targets. We will also watch episode 1 of the new Netflix anime and discuss the challenges of the adaptation.

Parking:
Parking in the library's underground parking can be validated for up to two hours. TRAX is also free in the downtown area at all times; if needed, you can park in a nearby free parking lot and take TRAX to the Library Station.

About SLAM:

• SLAM members vote to watch one anime season all the way through, two episodes at a time. At each meeting, along with the two episodes of the chosen anime, we watch two episodes of a spotlight anime recommended by members of the group.
• We watch with Japanese audio and English subtitles.
