Our Boy's Love (BL)/yaoi series of watch parties are slightly different from our normal anime watch parties in that there will be no spotlight show. Instead, we will watch 4 episodes of the chosen show every two weeks. BL is a subgenre of Asian animation, film, art, or literature that explores LGBT+ (usually gay male) stories and romance.

The Show:
Shy and easily flustered Miyano harbors an embarrassing secret - he is a "fudanshi", a boy who likes boys' love manga. Intrigued, the clueless delinquent Sasaki requests to borrow one, marking a shift in their strange dynamic.

About SLAM:

• SLAM members vote to watch one anime season all the way through, two episodes at a time. At each meeting, along with the two episodes of the chosen anime, we watch two episodes of a spotlight anime recommended by members of the group.
• We watch with Japanese audio and English subtitles.
• Food, chatting, discussing Japanese culture, and making new friends is highly encouraged! An atmosphere of acceptance, respect, and civility is required.
