Come along, join the dissection, cogitation, exuberation, confusion and libation!
We meet in central Bristol on the first Monday of every month, a new and exciting discussion ensues and we normally end with a few drinks and choose the next months wee bit of Utopian ....or DYS-topian literature.
We don't have a hierarchical structure and decisions over the next book can be done in turn, or through discussion and scanning the internet.

UBC discuss Half Earth Socialism
Watershed, 1 Canon's Road, Bristol, GBOur book for May is Half Earth Socialism: A Plan to Save the Future from Extinction, Climate Change and Pandemics by Troy Vettese and Drew Pendergrass.
The book also has a computer game version where you can try enacting world-saving plans, go to half.earth
The book is part fiction, part non-fiction and draws on the utopian literary tradition, with particularly direct references to William Morris's 1890 socialist utopia News from Nowhere.
