UBC discuss Disnaeland by D. D. Johnston

This month's book has been described as a 'comedic dystopia' and a 'hopeful apocalyptic novel' and comes with the tagline "What if the end of the world is the best thing that never happened?"

Disnaeland is set in a small Scottish town in an alternative reality where, in 2023, the lights go out and never come back on. And yet... it doesn't get as bad as you might think.

Themes: anarchism, post-apocalypse, post-capitalism, hope, community
