Our book for May is Half Earth Socialism: A Plan to Save the Future from Extinction, Climate Change and Pandemics by Troy Vettese and Drew Pendergrass.
The book also has a computer game version where you can try enacting world-saving plans, go to half.earth
The book is part fiction, part non-fiction and draws on the utopian literary tradition, with particularly direct references to William Morris's 1890 socialist utopia News from Nowhere.
