With more than 1 million of products in the assortment, Kramp is the leading European supplier of spare parts for agriculture machinery. Modern and reliable technologies are key in supporting farmers with fast and reliable delivery. Kramp architects will take you through the journey of how the complex and efficient Supply Chain network are supported by a series of smart technologies, a mix of own developments and off the shelf solutions.
Let's follow together the journey of a tractor spare part from the producer in Italy to the impatient farmer in Norway, and what technological challenges were taken to make this possible.

19:45 - 20:30 Second talk: The banana split: moving to modular warehouse systems (Sjoerd Cranen).
Abstract: With Picnic, you can order a banana and get it delivered at home. In this talk, we dive a bit deeper into the systems that support your banana’s journey, and in particular we will zoom in on our warehousing operations. We will show how our focus has changed over time, and how that influenced our architecture: from selling a banana => to delivering a banana => to delivering many bananas => to putting a banana on a roller coaster => to supporting a diverse range of systems and people juggling bananas, all controlled from the cloud. We will of course also highlight some challenges and practical consequences of this journey for our software, UX design, operations, and organization.
