Java's Hidden Gems: Tools and Libraries
This session is a whirlwind tour of many lesser known, but very interesting, Java tools and libraries. We'll have a sneak peak at dozens of tools to improve security, builds, architecture, tests and other areas. After this session you'll surely have learned something new, which you can further investigate whenever you want to apply it.
Living the Cloud-Agnostic Dream with Event Driven Architecture
Event-driven architecture (EDA) surrounds us, we interact with EDA systems daily without even knowing it. It is the architectural backbone of most retail banks, capital markets, e-comm platforms, airlines, etc.
Most organizations are leaning towards the cloud to keep up with high volume of data movement, combat siloed application interactions & deployments and achieve system scalability. However, many companies are also faced with shared challenges that come with a multi-cloud deployment of EDA systems.
This talk will give a high-level overview of EDA, review real-world use cases, and delve into the importance of taking a cloud-agnostic approach to EDA.
It will demonstrate how events can dynamically flow in a multi-cloud EDA solution that values cloud-agnostic data flow as a first-class citizen.
Attendees will leave this session with an understanding of:
- What an advanced event broker is & how it forms the central nervous system for real-time data movement.
- Cloud-native solutions to EDA deployment and vendor lock-in challenges
The power of an event mesh, which allows events to flow freely between applications irrespective of where they are deployed
