Relaunch JavaScript Meetup: October 2024

Hello folks! It's been a while and we're back with a fresh meetup. Hoping to see a lot of community members. Here's the deal for this one...

🥾 Reboot... with your help?!

There will be some content, but another important matter first.

One of the main topics of this evening will be to connect with fellow JavaScript and TypeScript enthusiasts from the greater Utrecht area. And we need the community's help!

For personal reasons, Jeroen is stepping down as the current organizer. Jasper has been true supporters and hosts for our community in past years and is stepping up to help organize, but preferably with help from one or more memebers from the community. Tonight will be a chance to discuss a path forward.

So please consider showing up (or letting us know in DM's) to help organize future UtrechtJS meetups.

Title: Frontend for AI; threat or benefit?
Speaker: Nico Brinkkemper

We are all familiar with the development of AI and how this is possibly affecting our day-2-day work. Is the rapid development of AI a threat for us as frontend developer? How can we benefit from this innovation? What Models can we use? Nico Brinkkemper will give a presentation about frontend for AI.

Title: NextJS with a Headless CMS
Speaker: Jeroen Heijmans

In this presentation we will go through an "Exemplary Example" repository, showcasing how to combine NextJS with a Headless CMS (in this instance Prepr CMS). It's representative of how a large scale website can be built with this technique. At the end of this presentation you should have a clear mental picture of how to tackle such a setup at scale.

Our host BlueFront (Nieuwegein) is once more the location for our new meetup, they're located at Zoomstede 21a, Nieuwegein. Convenient to reach by both car and public transport!
