About us
A monthly meetup for developers who want to get better at writing code — not just talk about it.
Each session we work through a kata: a small, well-defined coding problem that we solve together using Test-Driven Development, pair or mob programming, and a healthy dose of debate about design decisions. The goal isn't to finish the problem. The goal is to practise the craft — clean code, good tests, clear thinking.
No slides. No sponsored pitches. Just a keyboard, a problem, and a room full of people who care about writing good software (and good pizza).
What to expect:
A collaborative coding session (~75 min) in pairs or as a group
A short retrospective where everyone shares what they learned
Pizza, drinks, and good conversation afterwards
Who is this for?
Anyone who writes code professionally — junior, senior, backend, frontend, it doesn't matter. The Dojo is language-agnostic, so bring whatever stack you're comfortable with or use it as an excuse to try something new.
Hosted by Rentman, a software company based in Utrecht building tools for the live events industry. We started this meetup because we believe deliberate practice makes better engineers — and that it's more fun with others.
We meet on the last Thursday of every month. Attendance is free.
