I checked out De Ping Pong Club last week—it is an awesome location! They even have board games if you need a break from the action.
I played there recently outside of a tournament, and let me tell you about the "athletic" standard: if you can hold two beers at the same time, you are officially qualified. This is not the Olympics, this is around the table. Leave your sports watch at home; this is a purely social event where your actual speaking time will easily outlast your playtime.
