We will be celebrating Juneteenth a few days early with a 10:00 AM service full of music and history, and a cookout & potluck after the service. On Juneteenth, it's traditional to eat red foods such as strawberries, watermelon, red punch, cherry pie, red velvet cake, sausages, hot dogs and barbecue. Red is a symbol of the resilience, sacrifice and ingenuity of enslaved people. It also represents the blood of the enslaved people who lost their lives. Whether red or not bring a dish to share. Hot dogs, hamburgers & vegan options will be provided.
