This month, we're partnering with our friends at the Listen&UX group ( to bring you a mini-panel on getting into the voice-first world! In a panel moderated by UX Designer and voice-first product creator, Geoff Pedrick, UVS members Brian Bauman (VUI Designer) and Donia Robinson (conversational UI developer) will discuss the skills they ported over from their previous careers and how you can do the same.

Brian Bauman is a VUI designer at Wolters Kluwer Health in Chicago where he has translated a career in playwriting into meaningful, action-oriented conversations. He likes collaboration, high melodrama (in art not life), and travel.

Donia Robinson is a UI developer who’s been working in web development for over 15 years. After running her own business for many years, she has most recently built conversational interfaces for Fortune 500 companies like Allstate and Aon. She likes inclusivity in tech, Oxford commas, and lasagna.
