What we’re about

This group is about creating a work friendly third space on the Upper West Side. It is for people who work remotely or hybrid and want a place that feels better than working alone at home, but less formal than an office. A comfortable, low pressure space to focus, work independently, and still be around other people during the day.

Who this group is for
• Mostly people in their late 30s, 40s, and beyond, though all are welcome
• Established professionals, freelancers, consultants, or those in a career shift
• Anyone tired of working alone and looking for an easygoing work environment

What this is (and is not)
• A work first space with optional social time
• Not a networking group by design, though connections may happen naturally
• Not hustle culture
• Not forced interaction

How meetups work
• Weekday daytime coworking at work friendly cafés or similar spots on the Upper West Side with free WiFi
• Come and go as you like
• Work independently or alongside others
• Optional conversation, idea sharing, collaboration, and shared breaks for coffee, food, or a quick game
• Some locations allow small client meetings, which will be noted in the meetup post

The idea
• A chosen work environment with chosen coworkers
• Quiet when you need it, social when you want it
• Flexible for different schedules and work styles
• Connections and friendships may grow naturally over time, with no expectations

Cost
• Some meetups may include a small entry fee, otherwise free to join and cowork
• Never more than $15 per day
• When possible, includes coffee, tea, or a small snack courtesy of the host location

If you are looking for a workday third space where you can focus, connect, and not work alone, you are very welcome here.
