About us
Welcome to UX Brighton! We are a vibrant, long-standing community dedicated to bringing together user experience professionals, researchers, designers, developers, product managers, and tech enthusiasts from across Brighton and the South Coast.
The fundamentals of UX remain the same—discovering what people need, designing solutions, and building them. What constantly changes is how we do it. UX Brighton is all about cutting through the noise to explore what’s actually working in the industry today, from foundational human-centered design to emerging research methods and new tools.
What you can expect by joining us:
Evening Meetups & Show & Tells: Casual, engaging sessions where local and guest practitioners share real-world insights, case studies, and the "messy bits" of product discovery and design that usually get edited out.
Our Flagship Conference: Access to our major annual gathering at the Brighton Dome, which attracts an incredibly engaged crowd of designers, decision-makers, and world-class speakers.
Human Connection & Networking: A welcoming, collaborative, and friendly space to meet fellow professionals, share knowledge, bounce ideas around, or find your next career opportunity.

How Show and Tell Works
- Come Prepared: Everyone arrives with something to talk about and some snacks to share.
- The Hat: Names and topics go into a hat to be chosen at random.
- Timebox: Each chosen topic gets a casual 15-minute slot for discussion and feedback.
- Off the Record: Everything is under the Chatham House Rule. (If you're under an NDA, it's perfectly fine to keep client names or specifics private—we won't interrogate you!)
Ideas for what you can bring to talk about:
- Introduce a design or research topic you're currently interested in.
- Demo a new tool or plugin you've found useful.
- Summarise a methodology you've recently tried out.
- Discuss a messy project you've worked on (or are currently working on).
- Get peer feedback on a talk or article idea you're drafting.
- Show a short video you found inspiring (we have a screen with HDMI/AppleTV available).
Our Principles:
- ❌ No polished or stressful presentations.
- 🤫 Strictly off-the-record / Chatham House Rule.
- 👋 Everyone comes with something small to talk about!
We look forward to seeing you there!

UX Brighton 2026 Emerging Methods
The Dome, Church Street, Brighton, GBThe fundamentals of UX haven't changed: find out what people need, design solutions, test them, and build them. What is changing is how we do each of these things.
The number of approaches available to us right now is exploding—new research techniques, design tools, testing methods, and AI-driven workflows. Some are genuinely useful. Some are just noise.
UX Brighton 2026 is about cutting through that noise. Our theme this year is Emerging Methods. We are bringing together world-class practitioners who are experimenting at the edges and can tell you what is actually working. You'll find out which new approaches are worth your attention, which borrowed techniques translate well to UX, and which old methods are finally practical.
Whether you're a user researcher, UX/UI designer, product manager, or developer, you'll leave with a clearer sense of where to focus your energy and skills.### 🎟️ IMPORTANT: How to get tickets
