The UX Design in SaaS meetup is very proud to announce that we have partnered with the Design Outlook festival to bring you our very first in-person gathering as part of the festival. Registration to participate in this meetup opens on Thursday, May 26 for conference ticket holders.

// WHAT IS HAPPENING
We will be kicking off with some fantastic presentations, from Clodagh Lynch, Head of Product Design APAC, Iress and Amir Ansari, Global Head of Product Design, Iress. There will be Q&As, drinks, food, games, prizes and networking.

// CLODAGH BIO
Clodagh is the Head of Product Design APAC for Iress. With over 17 years of experience in the field of design, both as a practitioner and leader, Clodagh has worked across the private and public sectors, managing UX researchers and designers. Clodagh has decades of experience as a designer and design leader and is an advocate for ethical design in tech.

// AMIR BIO
As a design leader, I believe in empowering my teams to be better as individuals and as a collective. I ensure they have a purpose in everything they do. I encourage them to constantly ask why yet I don't micromanage and don't look over their shoulders. I don't have all the answers but I have confidence that a solution can always be found. I trust that my team can come to me for direction, inspiration, or just a second pair of eyes.
I have over 20 years of practice as a designer and design leader, and I continue practising them with humility and a friendly smile.

// OVERVIEW OF PRESENTATION
As design gets traction and the spotlight it deserves, practitioners and leaders are taking the opportunity to grow their practice. Yet as many know, there are many hurdles to jump and success isn’t always guaranteed.

Amir will share his experience building and growing design practices across both the corporate and agency world. He’ll share his recipe for what has worked and what hasn’t. Regardless if you’re a practitioner or design leader, you’ll hopefully walk away with some useful tips and pave the way to grow your design practice within your organisation. And during his talk, Amir will pose a controversial question for you to ponder!
